KARANG creates private family documentaries in Malaysia and Singapore. KARANG is a creation of Yogie Intelligence Sdn Bhd. This notice explains how we handle personal information submitted through karang.asia and during enquiries about our services.
Information you share with us
When you contact us, you may choose to share your name, email address, WhatsApp number, information about who the documentary is for, project details, and anything else you include in your message. If a project goes ahead, you may also share interviews, recordings, photographs, documents, and family information needed to create the documentary.
How we use it
We use this information to reply to your enquiry, arrange a discovery call, plan and provide the service you request, communicate about the project, and deliver the finished documentary.
Website and advertising measurement
We use Google Analytics to understand website visits and interactions, and Meta Pixel to measure visits to public pages and completed website enquiries for advertising measurement. A WhatsApp button click is recorded separately from an enquiry. These services may use cookies and process technical information such as your IP address, browser, page address and advertising identifiers under their own privacy terms.
We also keep campaign labels, advertising click identifiers, the first public page visited and the referring website with a submitted enquiry, to understand how people found KARANG. We use session storage to carry this attribution between public pages. We do not include the form's name, email, WhatsApp number or family story in our custom analytics or Meta events, and we do not enable Meta automatic advanced matching.
Your family stays in control
The family and the person being filmed decide what is included. Sensitive parts can be edited or left out. We do not publish a family’s documentary or use it in marketing without written permission.
Services we rely on
Our website, contact methods, and project workflow may use service providers that help us host the site, communicate, produce the documentary, or deliver files. They handle information only as needed to provide those services. If you choose to contact us through WhatsApp, WhatsApp’s own privacy terms also apply.
Your choices
You can ask about the personal information you have shared with us, request a correction, or ask us to delete it. Some information may need to be kept where required for legal, accounting, or project-administration reasons.
